More of the Daleks

The Daleks are everywhere. And they’re all just a little bit rubbish.

  1. A full-on TV Tropes page made into a highly entertaining script, simultaneously summing up modern Who and becoming my favourite episode of Aimless Wanderings to date. Great work everyone 🙂

  2. This was dynamite, the perfect way to start dynamites first wave. Props to Billy T for the writing, producing, sound designing, co-cover art-ing, and for playing the ogrons.

  3. This was just DYNAMITE!! This is my new updated list of stories 1) More of the Daleks 2) A Sorry State of Affairs 3) iDalek 4) War of the Doctors 5) Jim
I do have one criticism, Billy’s voice over. Nothing against Billy himself it is just I thought this was going to be a non-voice over Dynamite adventure! Anyways, Great Job

  4. A dynamite first episode! Clever, gritty, and interesting new way of playing out how its read. 5 sticks of dynamite out of 5!

  5. The Daleks may have been rubbish, but this story sure ‘ain’t. Good work guys, looking forward to the next instalment!

  6. Funniest one yet! Loved the theme tune! Fantastic!
But I do have one question: what happened to the Dalek that went into the TARDIS?
Can’t wait till next time! 🙂

  7. Absolutely dynamite stuff! It’s just that sometimes the music got too loud and seemed to overpower Billy’s narration, otherwise great! 10/10! Would listen again!

  8. Still my favourite story, I thought Blobatron was gonna be better but I was wrong. I have a request, can we have a Dilbert the Dalek origin story in Forbidden Fruit Pastel, an alternative Genesis of the Daleks, ‘Genesis of the Dilbert’?

    1. We did kind of have that in Daleks of the Apocalypse but I suppose they could go further. Though I think it may be a little too late for that to happen in Forbidden Fruit Pastel depending where the writing stage is. I think that would probably have to happen in Fruit Pastel’s second wave.

  9. Okay, ‘More Of The Daleks’ One of the most popular stories from Aimless Wanderings.

Sadly, I am not one of it’s biggest fans.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s brilliant. But, for me, it’s not. However, it’s defiantly a great story.

A bit like “The Story Teller”. But better.

A great story with great characters with lots of violence that’s relevant to the story and a lot of funny moments, particularly from The Daleks themselves.

A brilliant story, I just don’t think it’s one of the best. Or at least not as much as others.

    9/10. Brilliant.

Rated 12: Contains some moderate bloody violence, threat, horror, sexual references and one use of bleeped strong language. Suitable only for persons of 12 years and over. not to be supplied to anyone below that age.

    1. “Don’t get me wrong, it’s brilliant. But, for me, it’s not. However, it’s defiantly a great story. 9/10. Brilliant.”

        1. I think he’s questioning the fact you said you weren’t one of its biggest fans and then gave it a near-perfect score.

        2. You said “it’s brilliant” and “for me, it’s not” in the same breath. Make your mind up.

    1. As far as I’m concerned anything that gets a 9/10 from me can’t really be considered ‘over-rated’.

    1. Being a bit insulting there aren’t you Nick? And I sincerely doubt anyone ‘obsesses’ over Story Teller or More of the Daleks, we just like it slightly more than you do (emphasis on the slightly).

      1. Oh god. I can feel the shitstorm starting. And Canstock won’t be here to save us this time.

  10. What I meant in ‘It’s not for me’ is that although brilliant, i am not going to say it’s one of the best. However, it is still a great story. I just think it’s (very) overrated.

  11. P.s I’ve been to Framlingham (well, through it to get to it’s pretty impressive castle). It’s a shame that Framlingham Castle was not mentioned.
